Cherry Limeade

Cherry Limeade

Good Morning! I thought I would share a recipe for those of you that may not be near a Sonic Drive-In. One of the best summer treats is to go to Sonic and get a Cherry Limeade. It makes you feel like a kid again. It is bubbly, sweet, and tangy and you get a cherry or two in your drink-it is like Shirley Temple from back in the days of going out to dinner with your parents and you wanted a fancy drink, too. For those of us who are watching our weight you can substitute a Diet Sprite, but if you can, Live a little and have the real deal!

Cherry Limeade
1 (12 ounce) can Sprite
3 lime wedges
Juicy Juice Cherry juice
Crushed ice
2 maraschino cherries with the stems

Fill a 16-ounce glass 2/3 full of crushed ice. Pour Sprite over the ice. Add the juice of 3 lime wedges and add them to the drink. Top the drink off with cherry juice, stir and add the maraschino cherries. There you have it, summer in a glass! Enjoy!

Note:

You can buy Sonic ice at your local Sonic-unless you live in Memphis-we found that out the hard way during our reunion-right Trecia and Lisa! But my thought is, if you are already at Sonic, go between 2 and 4 in the afternoon for their Happy Hour and get your Cherry Limeade for half-price, buy the ice and make Beer Margaritas to go with dinner!
