Victoria's Christmas Cinnamon Hard Candy

Victoria's Christmas Cinnamon Hard Candy

3 ¾ cup of Sugar
1 ½ cup of Light Corn Syrup
1 cup of Water

Red Food Coloring
1 bottle of Cinnamon oil

Mix together sugar, corn syrup and water. Stir until Sugar Dissolves

Put on medium heat – do not stir
Let it boil till it gets to 310 degrees on the candy thermometer. Takes about 45 minutes – Get a cookie sheet, cover with foil and sprinkle powder sugar on the foil while waiting for candy to boil.

When it reaches 310 add a FEW drops of red food coloring and the whole bottle of Cinnamon oil.

Pour candy on to cookie sheet and let cool, several hours. Then break it up with a hammer. Add more powder sugar so it doesn’t stick to each other. Some pieces are VERY hot.
