World’s Best Cookies
From the kitchen of Louise Deans
1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup crushed corn flakes
½ cup coconut
½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
3 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg and mix well. Add oil and vanilla. Stir in oats, corn flakes, coconut and nuts. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt. Add to butter mixture. Form into walnut sized balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet, flatten with a fork dipped in water. Bake 20 minutes.
Makes a lot! Enjoy!
