Baby Cakes

This recipe is for my dear friend, Susan. I made these for my daughter's 1st birthday. The party was the day before Easter and I used an egg shaped pan for the cakes.

Baby Cakes

1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix (with pudding in the mix)
Chocolate Ganache

Prepare the cake mix according to package directions and place in greased cupcake/muffin (or motif) pans. Bake according to package directions. Remove from pan and cool to room temperature on a cooling rack. Prepare Ganache and dip cupcakes into glaze and set on the cooling rack. Allow glaze to set.

Ganache Glaze
1 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon liquer-I like Kahlua or Amaretto

In a glass bowl set over low simmering water, mix together chocolate chips, cream and liquer until smooth and silky.
