Breakfast Lasagna

Breakfast Lasagna

1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup light brown sugar
½ pound sliced ham
1 can apple pie filling
2 cups cheddar cheese
12 slices French bread (I think Challah or Brioche would be an excellent choice-thoughts?)
1 cup granola with raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream and brown sugar. Cover bowl and chill. Place 6 slices bread in bottom of greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Layer slices of ham, 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese and the remaining 6 slices of bread in prepared dish. Spread apple pie filling on top of bread and sprinkle with granola. Bake for 25 minutes. Top with remaining cheddar cheese and bake an additional 5 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with sour cream-sugar mixture.

Makes 6 to 8 servings
